The ninth round of the Div 5 league took place for St Patricks on Wednesday 27th May away to Clonmore with a win for Pats badly needed. Paul Shepard did well in a first half that saw Pats trailing by 1.10 to 0.4 at the break and there was a big 30minutes needed from the Tullow lads that just didn’t come. The second half had some brief hope when Rory Jones, who tried tirelessly throughout, got a goal to bring Pats back within 5 points but they never got any closer. A lack of composure in possession and some poor decision making gives the Pats lads lots to work on before facing Kilbride in the Q/Final of the Junior C Championship on the weekend of 7th Aug.

Best for Pats were Dave Brady and Colm Kenny. St Pats Junior Cs have one game left, away to the Fighting Cocks, the league semi finals are now almost definitely out of reach but this local derby always draws a crowd, and is an important game for championship preparation.
