Pats battled hard in this intermediate semi final but on the day Eire Og proved to be the better team. The scoreline may have been close but the wide count was not and had Eire Og converted all their chances the scoreline would have been a lot different. It was an ugly game with Jacko Kennedy again the star man for Pats scoring 5 points in the first half with Rooster again on the score sheet. Pats lead at half time 0-6 to 0-5. Andy Byrne scored a goal for Eire Og mid way through the second half and it was too big a mountain for Pats to climb over. It had been a long season and Pats looked tiredJacko again scored another 3 points in this half taking his tally to 41 points in the IFC which has been a great achievement. Johhy Egg tipped one over just as the ref blew full time.
Best for Pats were Jack Kennedy, John Kenny & Padraig Murphy
