FL3 St Pats v Rathvilly
St. Pats Junior team welcomed Rathvilly to Bro Leo park on Saturday, April 13th, as the second round of the division 3 league continued. While Tullow fielded a very youthful side, with 5 minors included in the starting 15. Rathvilly meanwhile had travelled with a very strong panel, and appear to be taking Division 3 very seriously this year, indeed some well used regrades made a considerable impact on the game, with seasoned ex seniors David Nolan, and Sean Kavanagh spear heading the attack, and Stephen Murphy providing the ammunition with a dominant display at midfield. Tullow started well and Paul 'pookie' Canavan was in fine scoring form early on, and Ebby Quigley continued to make probing runs from full forward. Very impressive debuts from Cormac Nolan and Owen Doyle were a highlight, and an assured full back display from Gerry Dooley limited Rathvilly early on. However, Rathvilly had too much strength in depth for what proved an inexperienced Tullow side, and with scores coming from multiple outlets, most notably an array of marque scores from a rejuvenated David Nolan put Rathvilly in a commanding position that they never let go of, running out comfortable winners in the end, despite a gutsy performance from the young Tullow side.

FL2 Grange 0-13 St Pats 0-5
St. Pats quest for a first league win of the season continues tonight, Monday April 15th, in a wet and blustery Grange. With a huge swirling wind, and dismal conditions, scores were always going to be at a premium tonight, and in a tight affair, it was the class of Grange's John Murphy that eventually swung this one the way of the home side. His arial prowess, and dominance around the middle of the field proved the difference. Tullow were best served by an immense Alan O'Neill at the heart of the back line, Anthony Moran, who continued his fine early season form, and an excellent full debut from minor Lee Byrne at corner back. Indeed the shining light on this damn evening was the emergence of fresh young talent from within the minor ranks, in Danny McMahon, and Cormac Nolan also featuring. The final result, Grange 0-13 St. Pats 0-5
